Description
Guavas/ Psidium Guajava is a small tree in the myrtle family, native to Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and northern South America. Guava has a unique flavor, it has a sweet pink flesh which has been described as similar to papaya, or a cross between a pear and a strawberry. It has a sweet, musky aroma, with soft, juicy flesh.
Fresh guavas are rich in vitamins A, B, and C, and are commonly eaten raw and may be sliced and served with sugar and cream as a dessert.
