Description
Our blue fescue ornamental grass has an unusual and eye-catching color, so it’s often used as a feature for rock gardens, borders, beds, along paths, or grouped together for an attractive ground cover! The blue festuca grass only grows to around 8-12″ tall, so you can plant it in front of mid-height flowers and play them off its intriguing color. Wheat-like seed heads will rise up over the wiry blue blades and create an attractive contrast of their own. The foliage can be blue to blue-grey, and it achieves its best color in sunnier spots. If you live in a warmer region, however, be sure your blue fescue grass has a little afternoon shade. Blue Festuca Grass prefers drier conditions so much that it has a great tolerance to drought.
